Orchards Academy in Swanley is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join the team as soon as possible for 15 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This position operates during term time and inset days, with an additional four weeks of work required during school closure periods for deep cleaning.
The primary purpose of the role is to maintain the Academy in a clean and presentable condition for all students, staff, and visitors. Key responsibilities include general cleaning duties such as:
- Dusting
- Mopping floors
- Cleaning sinks or toilets
- Hoovering
- Operating polishing or buffing machines when required
We are looking for a reliable individual with a 'sharp eye' for cleanliness who possesses the functional literacy skills necessary to read and understand chemical safety labels (COSHH) and safety data sheets.
