Hours: 30.5 hours per week as a Teaching Assistant plus 2 hours per week as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm)
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only: 39 weeks per year
Actual Salary: Teaching Assistant D2 4-11 £17,778.48 - £20,221.35
Actual Salary HLTA C2 12-25 £1,335.53 - £1,728.80
About the Role
Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? Or an experienced TA seeking a new challenge in a supportive and inclusive school? Bligh Primary School is looking for a skilled and caring Teaching Assistant who can also provide Higher Level Teaching Assistant support for two hours each week. - Deliver targeted interventions and classroom support
- Work closely with teachers to help pupils achieve their potential
- Lead learning during allocated HLTA time

Who You Are
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds an NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
- Has experience working with primary-aged children
- Is confident supporting learning across the curriculum
- Can lead groups of pupils effectively
- Is calm, flexible and proactive
- Builds positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
- Shares our commitment to inclusion and high expectations
Most importantly, you will be passionate about helping children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
