The predicted salary is between 18292 - 18292 £ per year.

Salary: FMAT Band B1 £24,520.00 p.a. FTE Actual Salary: £18,292.38 pro-rata p.a.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm with 30 minutes lunch duty

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful and supportive team. You should be a positive and enthusiastic person who loves working with children, especially children with Special Educational Needs. Above all, you need to want the very best for our children and be prepared to put their needs first. Children will be at the heart of your work. You must be able to demonstrate that you understand the importance of educating the whole child. It is essential that the applicant has good English/Maths skills and should preferably hold an NVQ 3 or equivalent teaching assistant qualification. Further experience with positive handling, language interventions and or autism training would be beneficial to the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting groups of children, or a child 1:1, in achieving the lesson objective across all areas of the curriculum.
  • Leading groups of children or 1:1 intervention programmes.
  • Feeding back to the class teacher, sometimes keeping records of progress and behaviour.
  • Working with children to support any social, emotional, behavioural, personal care or medical needs.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Be passionate and share a commitment to support our children.
  • Ideally have some knowledge or experience working with children with SEND.
  • Have the enthusiasm to provide personalised learning experiences to children with SEND.
  • Have a calm, patient and encouraging manner, with an ability to make learning fun.
  • Have a self‑motivated ability to manage time effectively to maximise children’s learning time.
  • Flexible and willing to support children in a variety of situations.
