We invite teachers to join our aspirational, joyful school community, where senior leaders and staff share a passion and determination to unlock the potential in every pupil. We currently have Teaching Assistant roles available either on a supply basis or fixed-term funded.
Fixed-term roles are linked to 1-2-1 pupil funding and supply roles provide cover for vacancies and sickness and therefore have no minimum guaranteed hours. The hourly rate for these roles is £13.56 with an additional SEN allowance of 91p per hour. Each day is 6 working hours from 9am to 3:30pm. Fixed-term staff are paid a salary to include hours worked and holiday pay.
Applicants will have previous experience of working or volunteering with young people. Some experience of working with pupils with special educational needs would be an advantage, though not essential, as training will be given. The successful candidate could be required to work anywhere across the school, from our nursery up to 6th form.
At Meadowfield we work hard to ensure that all of our pupils make excellent progress, and we continually seek to improve the wellbeing of both pupils and staff. From all staff we expect commitment to the school and pupils, and a desire to improve and excel.
Meadowfield School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils. This post is subject to references, a medical check and an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service. Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a Self-Disclosure Form and, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024, will also be subject to an online search.
Due to the conditions and complex needs of the pupils at Meadowfield School, continuity and consistency of support is paramount and therefore candidates for all positions will need to commit to the full working hours of the post. Due to the potential for conflicts of interest, close family members of current pupils will not be interviewed for this post.
