We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team. This is an exciting opportunity to support some of our youngest children in a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating early years environment where learning through play is at the heart of our practice.
About the Role
Working under the direction of the class teacher, you will support children in our reception class to access a rich and stimulating Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. You will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment where children can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities.
- Work with individual children and small groups to promote learning and development.
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and well-resourced learning environment, indoors and outdoors.
- Support children’s personal care and daily routines sensitively and respectfully.
- Promote positive behaviour and support children’s social and emotional development.
- Contribute to observations and assessments under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to school life.

You should
- Have experience of working with young children, ideally within an Early Years or school setting.
- Hold a relevant Early Years qualification or be willing to work toward one.
- Have a good understanding of child development and the EYFS.
- Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in early childhood education.
- Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with adults and children.
- Be committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and promoting children’s wellbeing.
This role is part-time term-time Monday to Friday 33.75 hrs per week (30 hours are offered on a permanent contract, the extra 3.75 hours are attached to the Early Years setting and will be reduced should you move to another year group). Salary is KSA (£26,168 FTE - approximately £20,272 pro rata).
