Steephill School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our warm and welcoming team, supporting pupils within Key Stage 1. The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Support teaching and learning within a KS1 classroom
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support progress and engagement
- Help to create a positive, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and social development
- Work closely with class teachers and the wider staff team
- Contribute to the wider life of the school
Requirements:
- Has experience of working with primary-aged children
- Is kind, patient and nurturing
- Has good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- Works well as part of a team
- Has high expectations for children’s learning and behaviour
- Demonstrates flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm
