We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised and forward‐thinking Library Leader to further develop our school library, while also contributing meaningfully to our IT strategy and digital development. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about reading, learning and technology, and who enjoys sharing their knowledge and expertise to support both children and staff.
As Library Leader, you will:
- Lead and develop an engaging, inclusive and well‐resourced primary school library
- Promote a strong reading culture and a love of books across the school
- Work closely with teaching staff to support learning through high‐quality library provision
- Manage and develop library systems, resources and budgets
In addition, you will:
- Use your technical expertise to support and contribute to the school's IT and digital strategy
- Share your IT knowledge to support teaching and learning, including classroom technology and digital tools
- Support the effective use and development of school IT infrastructure, working alongside leadership and external providers where appropriate
- Help staff build confidence and capability in using technology effectively, safely and creatively
- Support children during the school day and with after school activities, fostering a love of reading and oracy whilst also developing their technology skills
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience of working in a school library or learning resource role, ideally within a primary setting
- Be passionate about children's literature, literacy and learning
- Have strong IT skills and a good understanding of educational technology
- Be confident supporting others with technology and digital systems
- Show a forward‐thinking, problem‐solving approach to IT and innovation
- Be well organised, flexible and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Understand the importance of online safety and digital safeguarding

The hours will be Monday–Friday 8am- 5.30pm term time, plus 5 INSET days and 6 Maintenance days. This will be a fixed one-year contract for the academic year ending 31st August 2026 with the possibility of a permanent post. Salary will be on KSC- £26,956 pro rata.
