A Rare and Exciting Opportunity at Burham CE Primary School! As we continue to build on the school’s success and expand our current team, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative HLTA and Forest School Leader to inspire and nurture our children through outdoor learning. Do you have what it takes to make our woodland areas SHINE with opportunity? We are seeking a passionate outdoor enthusiast who genuinely believes there is no such thing as bad weather - and that getting muddy is an essential part of adventure! We are looking for someone who understands the importance of building resilience in children and recognises the vital role outdoor learning plays in developing confidence, curiosity and wellbeing.
At Burham CE Primary School, you will have the exciting opportunity to work alongside our PE, Sport and Wider Curriculum Leader to plan and deliver a dynamic Forest School curriculum on our beautiful school site. We are incredibly fortunate to have extensive woodland areas, a pond habitat and a vast allotment space within the school grounds. In addition to leading Forest School provision, this role will also include providing PPA cover across the school, supporting teaching and learning within the classroom environment as part of our wider school team.
The role will include:
- Planning, preparing and delivering woodland and outdoor learning activities across the school
- Leading small-group and 1:1 Forest School interventions
- Providing high-quality PPA cover for classes across the school
- Supporting children to develop confidence, resilience and a love of the outdoors
- Working collaboratively with staff to enrich the wider curriculum
Ideally, candidates will hold a Level 3 Forest School qualification; however, we are open to providing training for the right person with the passion and enthusiasm to grow into the role.
Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, 5 days per week, term time only, 28.75 hours per week.
