The predicted salary is between 21800 - 25000 £ per year.

Medway Scale, Grade D2 £25,185 to £28,142 per annum. Benefits include free car parking and KCC Pension Scheme.

Abbey Court School caters for pupils aged 3-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties, and is currently located on 2 Strood sites; Cliffe Road (Nursery, Primary and new Secondary provision, designed and purpose built specifically to meet the needs of our pupils) and Rede Court Road (Further Education). The Cliffe Road site is also home to our school farm!

Working hours are 37 per week over a split shift (52 weeks per year) 5.45am until 9.30am and 2.30pm until 6pm Monday to Friday (in term time) and 8am until 4pm Monday to Friday (in school holidays). Comprehensive training and induction will be provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Opening/locking up and closing the school premises.
  • Performing routine repairs and maintenance around the school.
  • Supporting cleaning teams and ensuring the site is kept safe and well-kept.
  • Conducting pool and minibus checks.
  • Supervising contractors and coordinating work.
Qualifications:
  • Strong skills in plumbing, plastering and general repairs.
  • Good health and safety knowledge required.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
