We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly committed Caretaker who will ensure that our children learn in a safe, clean and healthy environment. You will be an important member of our school team. This role would suit someone who is confident regarding site security and general handyman/DIY skills and grounds maintenance.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a strong, supportive team within our school. The role is for 40 hours a week, preferably as a split shift but for the right candidate can be discussed as one shift. The hours are Monday to Friday, as two shifts; 7.00am β 9.00am & 12.00pm - 6pm to accommodate opening, lunchtimes and closing the school. We would consider two part-time positions as well.
We would really like to meet you if you:

- have a positive, flexible, self-motivated attitude and are organised with good practical skills
- have some knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical and decorating repairs
- are conscientious and hard working to ensure all duties are carried out to a high standard
- are able to work as part of an effective team and understand and carry out instructions
- can maintain the Schoolβs H&S compliance systems including weekly and monthly tests such as regular water testing and flushing and fire alarm tests (training will be available for all of these β we just need someone to be organised enough to carry them out)
- can support internal school events by preparing facilities, setting up IT and configuring rooms as required
- can manage, liaise and support the contract cleaners to keep high standards of cleanliness around the school building and external areas
- are physically fit and able to undertake lifting/carrying
- act as one of the designated keyholders, providing out of hours and emergency access to the school site
