Chilmington Green School is a co-educational, non-selective Secondary school which opened in September 2023. It will grow to become a 6-form entry school with a sixth form of 240 pupils. The school will build on United Learning’s successful track record locally and nationally, providing an excellent secondary education for local children. Our values of Ambition, Respect and Determination underpin the ethos and culture of our school. The successful candidate will join the school at a key point in the school’s growth as our new, state-of-the-art building will open in September 2025. We are recruiting for a full-time Premises Assistant to start ASAP.
Responsibilities- Carry out site maintenance, including general repairs, cleaning and decorating.
- Support Health and Safety procedures and record keeping; familiarity with Office 365 and ICT skills are desirable.
- Be proactive, reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a small but inclusive team.
- Perform some manual labour, including lifting furniture and equipment to statutory limits.
- Support a keyholding role with potential out-of-hours attendance.
- Familiarity with Office 365 and good ICT skills for record keeping.
- First aid qualification, or willingness to attain one.
- Experience with site maintenance tasks, including repairs, cleaning and decorating, is desirable.
- Some out-of-hours attendance is required for the keyholding post; time off in lieu or overtime payment is available.
- Position is full-time and based at the school site.
