Pastoral Support Assistant - Full-time

We require aPastoral Support Assistantto joinThe Victory Academyto provide support to our Key Stage 3 and 4 students. The successful candidate will work with the Student Services Manager and Pastoral Support Team responsible for the efficient and effective pastoral and behavioural support provision, ensuring every child is supported to achieve their full potential.

This role includes leading on the supervision of our Internal Reflection Room, promoting a positive ethos that support our Behaviour for Learning Policy and students learning.

Other responsibilities include assisting in the promotion of high standards of behaviour and conduct within the Academy and to provide support for colleagues through the enactment of Academy policy and procedure. Supporting colleagues as directed in all aspects of learning, personal development and emotional literacy both within classrooms and in other defined learning environments.

OurPastoral Support Assistantwill;

• Maintain a visible presence about the Academy throughout the day.
• Leading on-call and providing support for incidents when needed.
• Supervisor students before school, during break, lunch and after school.
• Supporting and monitoring interventions for behaviour, learning and achievement.
• Liaison with parents, carers, and staff including HOYs/HODs as appropriate.
• Mentor vulnerable groups of students who are at risk of underachieving.
