Maple Tree Primary School are looking to appoint a highly effective Pastoral Support Manager to promote the positive mental health and wellbeing of our wonderful cohort of children! This is a great opportunity for a dedicated practitioner who would like to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to develop this brand new role at our growing school. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible.

Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN environment would be desirable, excellent skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. You will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of working, motivated by helping every child to reach their potential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To undertake the role of DSL/DDSL within the school
  • To oversee pupil interventions in relation to wellbeing and ensure they meet individual EHCPs
  • To work within the education team to provide support for students
  • To support the teachers to effectively track and monitor student wellbeing and progress
  • Liaise with external agencies to safeguard students and ensure appropriate interventions are in place.
