About the role
The Golden Thread Alliance is seeking a flexible, ad‑hoc Mobile Catering Assistant to work across Dartford and Gravesham schools. This casual role pays £13.56 per hour (£26,168 FTE) on Kent Scheme A – 2026.
Key responsibilities include assisting the Chef Manager with basic food preparation, serving pupils and staff, washing up and keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and safe. You will be required to adapt to varied duties in a busy kitchen environment and support the smooth running of an excellent food service.
Reporting to the Chef Manager, you will help ensure the food service is of the highest standard and provide extra support and cover for absences.
Training will be provided and paid for. Uniform will be provided.
Experience working in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential. We welcome applicants seeking a better work life balance and greater flexibility.

Requirements
- Experience of working in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential.
- Two references are required prior to commencement of employment.
