We wish to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and experienced SEND Inclusion Specialist to join our wonderful team. We are looking for someone who has adaptability, experience in learning support and above all, someone who shares our ethos of putting the children at the centre of all we do.

Key Responsibilities

  • To lead on the development of personalized and group programmes that address specific barriers and challenges to pupils.
  • Devise, plan, and implement action plans in conjunction with other professionals and contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of support strategies.
  • To liaise with other individuals and outside agencies to access other support and opportunities for pupils to develop their potential.
  • To ensure accurate and informative record keeping, contributing to formal meetings and feedback to families and other professionals.
  • Remain current with changes in legislation, best practices and research in your specific aspect of inclusion and share with senior leads and other colleagues.

Specific Duties

  • Provide one-to-one support for pupils with complex SEND needs, focusing on individual provision plans or EHCP targets.
  • Work with pupils within their classroom to support integration with peers, promoting inclusion and social interaction.
  • Plan and deliver specific interventions, both one-to-one and with small groups, in line with provision plan objectives.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to assess, plan, deliver and review support for individual pupils.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and the Inclusion team.
  • Support the use of specialist resources and strategies, adapting activities to meet pupils’ individual needs.
  • Plan and deliver a weekly hour-long After-School club.

The successful candidate will be expected to work five days a week. This is 32.5 hours per week over 38 weeks per year (8.45-3.30 x 4 days and 8.45-4.30 x 1 day).
