Are you an organised and enthusiastic administrator with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Cornwallis Academy is seeking a proactive and professional SEND Admin Assistant to join our dedicated team on a part-time basis.
About the Role
Working closely with the SENCO and the wider SEND team, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure high-quality provision for students with SEND. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate records
- Handling communications with stakeholders
- Managing referrals
- Supporting the review of EHCPs
- Helping to coordinate SEND resources and plans
This role is part-time, working 20 hours per week Monday-Friday 10:00am-2:00pm, 38 weeks per year (term time only).
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update SEND information systems including SIMS and CPOMS
- Assist with correspondence and manage the SEND inbox
- Support the creation and review of personalised support plans and EHCP reviews
- Coordinate with staff, parents, and external agencies
- Ensure records are accurate, secure, and up to date
- Contribute to the preparation of reports and provision letters
What We’re Looking For
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence using Microsoft Office; experience with SIMS is desirable
- Knowledge of SEND frameworks or a willingness to learn
- A team player with initiative and a proactive attitude
