After School Club Assistant - Part-time in Maidstone

We are looking to appoint a committed and flexible person to join our small friendly team delivering high quality childcare at our After School Provision. We are looking for someone who is creative, can work using their own initiative and above all, enjoys working with children.

We have a vacancy for five afternoons per week, from 3pm – 6pm for After School Provision. The salary for the role is Kent Scheme A (pro rata) for a total of 15 hours per week.

• To ensure the provision offers a safe and stimulating environment for our children.
• To assist with the planning, preparing and delivery of activities, which meet children’s individual developmental needs.
• To work face to face with the children registered with the club.
• To supervise tea time refreshments for the children.
• To follow guidelines and procedures for Safeguarding in accordance with St Michael's Church of England Schools' Federation policies & procedures.
• To maintain After School Club to an agreed standard of cleanliness and hygiene before, during and at the end of each session.

• Previous experience of working in a childcare environment is desirable.
• The post is subject to an enhanced disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and check against the ISA barred list for children.
