Are you a Maths teacher looking for a better work-life balance? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Maths to join our stable and thriving Maths department. The role will involve working at our Dartford campus delivering up to GCSE at Foundation level to learners as part of their vocational programme.

At North Kent College, we are very proud of our achievements within the Maths and English department, with our students achieving Maths GCSE and Functional Skills above the national average for the FE sector, in addition to very high attendance through our internal actions and continued support from the vocational curriculum areas. We have been included as part of the published DFE good practice of English and Maths at FE.

This role is based at our Dartford campus.

Your hours:

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum (1 FTE).

Your pay:

£38,049 to £45,445 per annum full time equivalent, dependent on qualifications and experience.

A few differences

  • Strong focus on attendance, progress and achievement
  • Learners attend one 3-hour Maths session each week
  • Teaching runs from September to mid-June
  • Most learners are aged 16–18
  • Working day: 8:45am–5:15pm
  • Return in August is the day before GCSE results
