Are you passionate about supporting learners with special educational needs? Parkview Academy is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team. You will work with primary, secondary, or Post-16 learners, supporting them individually and in small groups. You’ll help students build good attendance, positive relationships, routines, trust, and respect, while contributing to their learning and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with learning difficulties and disabilities in and out of lessons.
  • Encourage independent learning, study skills, motivation, and confidence.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons, preparing resources, and supervising practical tasks.
  • Monitor pupil progress, provide feedback, and maintain records.
  • Promote inclusion, positive behaviour, and a safe, supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, complex needs, or challenging behaviour.
  • Understanding of SEND and statutory guidance.
  • Level 2 qualifications in English/literacy and maths/numeracy (or equivalent).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
