Join Our Caring and Successful Village School. Ide Hill Church of England Primary School is a happy, nurturing and ambitious village primary school set within the beautiful Kent countryside. We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team and help support pupils to achieve their full potential. This fixed-term position has been created to support the school in maintaining high-quality provision and continuity during the Headteacher's maternity leave. The Role

  • Support teaching and learning across the school.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to provide targeted learning and pastoral support.
  • Assist teachers in preparing and delivering engaging learning activities.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes to learning.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement support programmes and interventions.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and assist with playground duties and classroom organisation where required.

  • Has experience of working with primary-aged children, including providing one-to-one support.
  • Demonstrates patience, resilience and a calm, nurturing approach at all times.
  • Can build positive, trusting relationships with children and support them to engage successfully in school life.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is able to work flexibly and follow guidance from teaching staff and external professionals.
  • Is committed to inclusion and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed.
