How to prepare for a job interview at Sandwich Infant
✨Know Your EYFS Framework
Make sure you have a solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Brush up on its principles and how they apply to your teaching style. Being able to discuss specific examples of how you've implemented these principles in your previous roles will show your expertise and passion for early childhood education.
✨Showcase Your Passion
During the interview, let your enthusiasm for working with young children shine through. Share personal anecdotes or experiences that highlight your commitment to nurturing and supporting children's development. This will help the interviewers see that you’re not just looking for a job, but that you genuinely care about making a difference in children's lives.
✨Prepare for Scenario Questions
Expect to be asked scenario-based questions that assess your problem-solving skills and ability to handle various situations in a preschool setting. Think about past experiences where you successfully managed challenges or created engaging learning opportunities, and be ready to discuss them in detail.
✨Build Rapport with Interviewers
Remember, building positive relationships is key in this role. Approach the interview as a conversation rather than a formal interrogation. Smile, maintain eye contact, and engage with the interviewers. This will not only make you feel more comfortable but also demonstrate your interpersonal skills, which are crucial for an Early Years Practitioner.
