We are seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused Careers Advisor to deliver a professional, impartial, and high-quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) service across the College. This rewarding role will involve providing one-to-one careers guidance and delivering engaging group sessions on topics such as Higher Education, apprenticeships, employability skills, CV writing, interview preparation, and labour market information.

The successful candidate will work closely with students, curriculum teams, employers, universities, and external partners to support progression into further study, apprenticeships, and employment. You will contribute to a wide range of careers and employability events, including Higher Education fairs, mock interview days, employer talks, and recruitment events, while helping to develop and maintain digital careers resources and guidance platforms.

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of careers guidance principles, and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will play a key role in supporting student aspirations, improving employability outcomes, and ensuring the College continues to deliver an outstanding careers guidance service in line with professional standards and quality frameworks.

The Role

Where you’ll work: The role is based at the Dartford and Tonbridge campuses, but the nature of the work may require travel to any of the College sites as required.

Your hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum (1 FTE).

Your pay: £36,547 per annum. Please note that this is an on-site role, 5 days per week. We are flexible with the days split working between the Dartford and Tonbridge colleges. Job sharing will be considered, please specify your preference within your supporting statement.
