We are seeking a passionate and experienced Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional early years education and care. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of the setting in the absence of the Manager and will play a key role in ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate staff to provide high-quality education and care, adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards.
- Develop and implement medium and sessional curriculum plans, monitoring their effectiveness.
- Ensure the welfare and safety of children, addressing child protection concerns appropriately.
- Support staff through performance management systems and facilitate professional development.
- Liaise with parents and guardians to foster a strong community connection, sharing information about their children’s progress.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory requirements.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of three years’ experience in early years care and education settings.
- Level 3 qualification in early years education and childcare (or equivalent).
- Sound understanding of child development and the ability to implement a diverse pre-school curriculum.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable Criteria
- Familiarity with Tapestry or other online tools for tracking children's development.
Hours of work
- Monday: 8.30am - 15.45pm
- Wednesday: 8.30am - 15.45pm
- Thursday: 8.30am - 15.45pm
- Friday: 8.30am - 11.45am
Additional Information
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and requires an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check. Successful candidates must disclose any relevant convictions or orders.
