Do you have a passion for supporting learners with special educational needs? We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join ALP Schools at our Pierview Academy campus.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learners with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. Working both one-to-one and in small groups, you will help students engage positively in their learning and development. You may work with secondary or Post-16 learners, helping them to build good attendance, positive relationships, and a supportive routine, while fostering trust and respect within the school environment. You will also contribute to teaching and learning throughout the school.

Additional Information:
This is a full-time, permanent, term-time only role (39 or 40 weeks per year). An enhanced DBS check is required.
Essential Criteria:
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
- Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour, complex needs, or disabilities
- Ability to plan and deliver support using a range of strategies
Desirable Criteria:
- Education to A-Level or equivalent and above
- Full UK driving licence
Pierview Academy is an Ofsted-registered school for up to 30 learners, offering small class sizes from one-to-one support to groups of up to six. Our vision is to empower success through holistic, individualised learning. ALP Schools support learners with Education, Health and Care Plans, including those on the autistic spectrum or with other special educational needs and challenging behaviour. We provide structured, flexible, and needs-led approaches for young people across primary, secondary, and Post-16 phases, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
