Working Pattern: Term Time Only (38 weeks)
Salary: Medway C1 (Points 6–19) £17,660.16 - £22,178.27 Actual Salary plus £2,000 recruitment bonus
Location: Based at one of our Medway schools (Barnsole Primary School, Bligh Primary School, Danecourt School or Featherby Partnership Schools), working across all Medway Hub schools.
About the Role
Are you passionate about improving school attendance and supporting children and families to overcome barriers to education? We're looking for an experienced Attendance Lead to work across our Medway Hub schools, providing both strategic leadership and hands‑on support to improve attendance, reduce persistent absence and ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive. Working closely with school leaders, safeguarding teams, families and external agencies, you'll help develop consistent attendance practice across our schools while leading targeted interventions for pupils who need additional support. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining data, relationship building and strategic thinking to make a lasting difference.
In this role, you will:
- Monitor attendance data and identify pupils requiring additional support.
- Lead interventions with pupils and families to improve attendance.
- Conduct home visits and attend multi‑agency meetings where appropriate.
- Advise schools on attendance strategy, policy and best practice.
- Support safeguarding, inclusion and legal attendance processes.
- Work across our Medway schools to promote a culture of excellent attendance.
Who You Are
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in education, attendance or inclusion.
- Understands attendance legislation and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Builds positive relationships with families, schools and external agencies.
- Is confident analysing data and producing clear reports.
- Can work independently across multiple sites.
- Holds (or is willing to undertake) DSL training.
- Has a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
