Turner Free School is looking to appoint a dedicated, empathetic, and highly organised Head of Year (Non-Teaching).

In this vital role, you will lead the personal development, academic progress, and welfare of your assigned Year Group. You will provide clear leadership, ensuring high standards of order, discipline, classroom engagement, and attendance, while fostering a supportive, inclusive culture. This is a brilliant opportunity to make a tangible, positive difference in the lives of young people and their families.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about supporting our children and the community
  • Have the ability to make our students feel valued and safe
  • Enjoy working as a team
  • Have excellent IT skills
  • Have good organisation skills
  • Have the ability to communicate well (written, face to face, telephone) with internal colleagues, parentsand external agencies
  • Be able to prioritise workload
  • Work with external agencies, including professionals and specialists working with our students with SEND
  • Experience of using Bromcomis desirable but training will be provided.

The working hours of this post are 37 hours per week, term time plus 2 additional weeks (including INSET days) to be worked across the academic year.
