Individual Needs Teaching Assistant - Part-time in Cranbrook

If so, we’d love to hear from you for our Individual Needs Teaching Assistant position at Cranbrook School starting 1st September 2026. You’ll be at the heart of classroom life. You’ll work closely with teachers to support teaching and learning for a student with Autistic Spectrum Condition, whether that’s through targeted support, additional explanations, differentiated materials, or careful observation and feedback.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Supporting classroom teaching by working with individual to consolidate learning and build skills.
• Providing targeted interventions ensuring support is purposeful, well-planned and measurable.
• Using behaviour strategies consistently to maintain a calm, purposeful environment and support positive learning attitudes.
• Preparing and adapting resources, including worksheets, reading materials and learning aids, to match needs.
• Supporting access and inclusion.
• Supporting safeguarding and wellbeing by noticing concerns early, following procedures and maintaining professional confidentiality.
• Supporting assessment and progress by capturing notes, contributing to feedback, and informing next steps.
• Collaborating with colleagues building effective working relationships and sharing ideas that improve learning.
