We are looking for a dedicated Communication Support Specialist (BSL) to provide vital 1:1 support for a hearing‑impaired pupil, ensuring their ambition is never limited by communication barriers.
Fixed Term Contract until 31/08/2027 – Estimated actual £19,524.50 (£24,520.00 FTE) per annum.
Your Role in Our Community
- Facilitate learning: use British Sign Language (Level 1 or above) to interpret the curriculum and modify language in real‑time.
- Drive ambition: work with teachers to deliver personalised support plans, fostering the pupil’s self‑esteem and independence.
- Enrich relationships: facilitate communication between the pupil and their peers, ensuring they are fully engaged members of our school community.

Ideal Communication Support Specialist (BSL)
- Qualified as BSL Level 1 or above (or willing to complete qualification).
