A unique and rare opportunity to be part of our small, successful school. This is a Caretaker Part Time and Permanent role (3 days per week) with an immediate start at £25,000 FTE per annum (£15,000 pro rata).
Steephill School is seeking a reliable, proactive, and hardworking Caretaker to join our dedicated team and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our children, staff, and visitors. Main responsibilities:
- Opening and securing the school site daily
- Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of school buildings and grounds
- Monitoring and testing heating, lighting, and security systems
- Assisting with setting up rooms and facilities for school events
- Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues
- Supporting health and safety procedures across the site
- Monitoring and maintaining Health and Safety compliance documentation
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs ensuring the cost effective use of materials
