We are seeking an organised, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join our pastoral support team as a Student Support Assistant. This is a wonderful opportunity to play an important role in the daily life of our school, providing invaluable support to students and helping to create a calm, nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee our student support room, offering assistance to students who require medical attention or low-level pastoral support.
  • Provide light administrative support to our pastoral team, becoming a friendly and reassuring presence for students and staff alike.

Working hours

  • 13 hours per week, worked over two consecutive days (to be agreed upon appointment), as part of a job share with a colleague who will be working three days per week.
  • The working day will run from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm, including a 30-minute lunch break, term time only (38 weeks per year).
  • The position is paid at KCC Kent Scheme C, with a starting salary of £7,535 (FTE £25,252–£26,262).
