We are seeking to appoint a full-time Attendance Officer to join the busy and friendly Upton Junior School office team, with potential to take on more responsibility in the future.
Requirements
- A level 3 administrative qualification or proven administrative experience.
- Experience of using pupil databases, from inputting accurate data to running reports for accurate information for senior leaders.
- Experience of a similar role in a school setting or equivalent.
- Experience of using Microsoft 365 including Microsoft applications in a professional capacity.
- Proven accuracy with spelling and grammar.
- A first aid certificate or be willing to attend training as a first aider.
This is an essential administrative role within the school office and therefore excellent organisation, communication and ICT skills are essential.
Duties
- Tracking and monitoring the attendance of our pupils and taking steps to address absence.
- Liaising with families regarding attendance matters.
- Writing letters to families about persistent absences and lates.
- Producing attendance reports to share with our leadership team.
- Implementing attendance policies to ensure compliance with the DfE guidelines on attendance.
- Responding to holiday requests/leave of absence from families as directed by our Head of School.
Hours
- 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Weeks per year
- 40 working weeks per year (term time plus INSET and 1 week)
