We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work 4 days a week with our pupils in Aspen 2 who have a range of profound, severe, and complex learning needs and disabilities. In Aspen 2, we believe that all pupils, regardless of any barriers, can be successful and live a fulfilling life.
Aspen 2 offers a unique curriculum and approach to pupils, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). These roles may involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or in small class settings to succeed and achieve. The roles may also include personal care for some of our pupils with physical disabilities.
We are looking for someone with energy, determination, enthusiasm, and teamwork skills to join our friendly and forward-looking school. We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants who have worked in a Special Needs school environment; alternatively, you may have a passion for supporting students with additional needs and be seeking your first opportunity to develop your skills. The salary is based on working 4 days a week (27.5 hours), during term time plus INSET days, at £15,090 per annum, plus a SEN Allowance of £1,052 per year.
