We have a fantastic opportunity for a General Catering Assistant to join our team. Your role will be to assist in the preparation and serving of a range of inspirational healthy menus to meet our children’s dietary needs.

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of a range of inspirational menus to meet the dietary needs of our children.
  • Work Monday to Friday, working 20 hours per week (10:00-14:00).
  • Use your Food Hygiene Certificate within your practice.
  • Ensure the kitchen area is kept clean and appropriately presented in accordance with health and safety, food hygiene and COSHH regulations at all times.
  • Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures.
  • Be passionate about school catering and positively communicate with all children and staff.
  • Express a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely, following appropriate training.
  • Undertake cleaning and washing up as directed in the kitchen and dining area, including putting tables away.
  • Work as a team in a busy school kitchen.
