Herne CE Infant and Nursery School are seeking a professional, organised and friendly Attendance and Admission Officer to join our school team from 1st September 2026. This is an exciting and fulfilling role for someone who is a 'people person', who will be the welcoming face of the school for families and visitors and provide effective support to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the school.

Pay Grade: Kent Scheme C – D (Depending on experience.)

Hours: 35 hours per week, term time only

Working Hours: Monday–Friday 8.15am–4.15pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)

Herne Infants is a 3‑form entry school with an attached Nursery. Our school is a vibrant and busy place with children at the centre of all we do. We have a fantastic office team who have a great sense of humour, enjoy working together and being part of a wider supportive and loving community.

Previous experience of working within a school environment is desirable, but not essential. You will need a 'can do' attitude, as well as be organised, solution driven, reliable, able to prioritise work and follow instructions. This role requires a good level of knowledge and ability in using IT specifically Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and ideally our management information system, Arbor as well as GCSE English and Maths level C and above. You should be able to demonstrate your understanding, knowledge and prior experience within these areas.
