The District Nursing service in Sandwell is looking to recruit a District Nurse Team Leader to manage our Red District Nursing Team based in Rowley Regis. Our District Nursing service is made up of 7 teams across the borough and you will be working alongside fellow Team Leaders, Matrons\’, Community Matrons, Practice Education Leads alongside the main functions of the team such as Clinical Leads, Staff Nurses\’, HCA\’s, Nurse Associates and wider members of the MDT.
The District Nurse Team Leader will lead the team of 20+ members of staff and be the overall caseload holder of the population in the local area requiring housebound Nursing care. The Team Leader will be a role model for junior members of staff and exert leadership skills whilst striving to maintain a well performing team which achieves against it\’s KPI targets. It is an exciting time to be joining the District Nursing service with the formation of Town Teams\’ and the prospect of further developments in the service in the years to come.
This role is full time, with weekend and late shift working on a rota basis. You will require a driving licence with access to a vehicle to be utilised for work purposes.
Lead the District Nursing team to deliver well rounded quality care to a cohort of housebound patients\’ or to patient\’s in a clinic setting. You will work closely alongside various members of the MDT on operational and clinical work. You will be managing a team of around 20+ members of staff from Clinical Leads to Healthcare Assistants. You will be the overall caseload holder for around 450 patients\’. You will be able to demonstrate core trust values whilst ensuring your team delivers on local, trust wide and national initiatives and KPI\’s.
