We're seeking an organised and proactive Transport Supervisor (Training) to support our expanding Transport Services team within the council. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced operational environment and understands the critical importance of safety, compliance, and continuous staff development in public‑sector transport. You will play a key role in ensuring our drivers and operational staff receive the training, guidance, and support they need to deliver safe, reliable, and high‑quality transport services for our day centres and wider community. This includes supporting teams who work directly with vulnerable people, ensuring that all training reflects safeguarding responsibilities, passenger care standards, and the diverse needs of service users.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day‑to‑day transport operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and holding supervisors and staff accountable for the consistent delivery of a safe, efficient service.
- Coordinate and monitor mandatory training for drivers and operational staff, maintain accurate training and compliance records, and support onboarding to ensure all training requirements are met.
