Fulltime and temporary position based on SEN funding - 2 term contract initially. Working with children with a range of needs across the school. The role may be based in one of our Learning Zones with children with ASC and complex communication needs or with children in classrooms/spaces.
The Governors wish to appoint an energetic and committed Learning Support staff member for our large primary school. We are well staffed with highly qualified support staff who participate actively in the life of our school, including through appraisal.
The successful applicant will have:

We are fully focused on raising standards through bespoke Professional Learning, whilst ensuring the effective development of the whole child.

Band B SCP 4 £25,185 pro rata (Actual salary £16,342) (£13.05 per hour plus a living wage supplement to £13.45 per hour payable from 1st April 2026).

Hours: 27.5 hours per week, term time. Contract Type: Temporary until 25th March 2027 due to SEN funding.
Location: Ferndale Primary School, Ferndale Avenue, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5QF.
