We are looking for an Environmental Enforcement Officer.
Job Summary:
- Respond rapidly to incidents of environmental concern reported by elected members, senior managers, and the public.
- Make decisions on appropriate actions, including enforcement such as issuing fixed penalty notices.
- Lead prosecution efforts against individuals or businesses breaching legislation or regulations.
- Manage and supervise the Environmental Rapid Response Team.
- Collaborate with other teams within Public Protection & Community Safety for consistent enforcement.
Essential Requirements:
- A relevant qualification plus 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in enforcement related to environmental health issues.
- Experience in supervising and managing staff.
- Knowledge of evidential requirements for enforcement and prosecution.
- Experience in preparing and presenting enforcement case files.
Hours: 37 hours per week.
