Located in the West Midlands, Sandwell is a metropolitan borough in the Black Country, which is made up of six towns: Oldbury, Rowley Regis, Smethwick, Tipton, Wednesbury, and West Bromwich. An exciting opportunity has arisen in the newly forming property assets, systems and data team.
Can you manage our property asset systems and data to enable quality reporting of property assets and data sets for our Corporate Landlord programme? Do you regularly review reporting mechanisms to ensure they incorporate best practice and meet the needs of your service and organisation? Could you assist in establishing and maintaining arrangements to ensure robust data quality arrangements are in place across the Corporate Landlord Programme? Are you the ‘techie’ our team needs on Asset Management reporting databases/Auto CAD/GIS/MapThat/AI/Power BI/Excel and other newly emerging technologies?
As Lead Officer You Will
- Have or be working towards a relevant degree or equivalent in Property, Asset Management, IT/Systems, Digital or Data Science
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working within a complex environment
- Understand building measurement surveys and associated methodology including industry standard tools
- Have a working knowledge of GIS and property database systems and willingness to learn any new systems as required
- Have proven experience of property data analysis, data quality arrangements, complex report writing along with presentational skills
This is a newly created role and as such, we are looking for vibrant, laser focused individuals who are keen to help shape the newly forming Corporate Landlord Programme. You must be comfortable supporting Senior officers with the development of services within the political and partnership context of the Council. We are looking for someone with management experience, who supports and nurtures using a coaching and mentoring mindset whilst ensuring performance targets set for the team are reached. You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be self-aware.
