We're looking for a caring, enthusiastic Nursery Officer to join our friendly Workplace Nursery team. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and wants to make a genuine difference to children's lives every single day.
Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, you'll help create a safe and nurturing environment where children feel happy, valued and inspired to learn. From celebrating first milestones and encouraging curiosity to supporting confidence and independence, you'll play an important role in shaping children's early experiences and development.

This is a fixed term contract covering a maternity post until the end of August 2027.
You will:
- Create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where children feel safe and supported.
- Plan and deliver fun, stimulating activities that encourage learning through play across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Observe, monitor and celebrate children's progress and achievements.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with children, parents and carers, acting as a Key Worker to give individual children the support they need
- Work closely with colleagues and partner organisations to achieve the best outcomes for children.
- Contribute to maintaining the high standards of care, learning and safeguarding within the nursery.
- Support children to develop confidence, resilience, independence and a lifelong love of learning.
What We're Looking For
You'll have:
- A recognised Level 3 Childcare Qualification.
- Experience of working within an Early Years setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
You'll be someone who is:

- Inclusive and respectful of individual needs and differences.
- Committed to creating the best possible experiences for children and families.
Working Pattern: 22 hours, preferably worked over Tuesday - Friday
