Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of an industry-focused T Level in Marketing and Business, bringing real-world insight into the classroom to help students develop practical, career-ready skills.
  • Support curriculum development over summer 2025 ahead of the course launch in September, teaching in the college’s technical learning centre.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Degree or relevant professional qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related field, plus a teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Significant industry experience in marketing, particularly within digital, content, or brand marketing; ideally some exposure to the finance sector.
  • Previous teaching experience at post-16 or higher education level; experience in curriculum development and a sound understanding of T Level qualifications and industry placements is desirable.

Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding

  • To be eligible for the Qualified Lecturer salary banding (Β£30,583 – Β£46,263), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:
    • DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
    • Certificate in Education
    • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
    • DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
    • DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject
  • If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into the Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (Β£25,611 – Β£28,817).

Not Accepted as Stand Alone Qualifications:

  • PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • CTLLS (Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)
