Key Responsibilities
As a Lecturer in Foundation Learning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of our students, helping them build a strong academic foundation and achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity to take full responsibility for course tutorship and encourage opportunities for learning, including work experience and enrichment. You will use your excellent communication and organisational skills to conduct a variety of diverse methods to meet all students' learning requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
An academic background in Foundation Learning is necessary, along with a recognised teaching qualification (L5 or above). We will also consider someone who is willing to work towards obtaining this qualification and has experience of working in a Foundation Learning role which would be relatable to the areas we teach. We are looking for individuals who can inspire our students with passion and enthusiasm.
Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding
To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£30,583 - £46,263), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:
- DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
- Certificate in Education
- PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
- DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
- DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject
If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£25,611 - £28,817).
