We are excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Engineering to join our thriving Engineering Department on a full-time, permanent basis. Responsibilities

As a Lecturer in Engineering, you will take full responsibility for course tutorship, fostering engaging and effective learning opportunities, including work experience and enrichment activities. Using your strong communication and organisational skills, you will deliver teaching through a range of methods to meet the diverse learning needs of all students. This role offers the chance to deliver dynamic, interactive teaching, learning, and assessment to a high standard, while ensuring outstanding success and positive outcomes for all learners. You will also share responsibility within course teams for maintaining the quality of course delivery and contribute to the achievement of departmental and college-wide targets.

Qualifications

  • Have a strong background in functional skills and a genuine commitment to student development.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 or above (or be willing to work towards this).
  • Have relevant industry or teaching experience within the field of Engineering.
  • Possess a sound understanding of current developments in Engineering and be able to translate this knowledge into engaging, innovative teaching.
