Description

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Brickwork to join our Construction team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this key role, you will be responsible for delivering both practical and theoretical sessions, playing a vital part in enhancing the learning experience and success of our students.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching and learning in both practical and theoretical aspects of Brickwork across a range of levels. You\\\’ll take on a teaching timetable aligned with your contract and actively contribute to the ongoing enhancement of teaching and learning standards. Committed to student success, you\\\’ll help ensure every learner enjoys a positive and enriching experience. This exciting opportunity may also involve working with external agencies, college partners, local businesses, and employers to support the diverse needs of our students.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Recognised Level 3 qualification in Bricklaying or equivalent industry-standard certification
  • Certificate in Education or Level 5 Teaching Qualification, or working towards
  • Experience of delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • Proven ability to prepare and evaluate appropriate learning materials
  • Experience of delivering relevant qualifications
  • Knowledge of key skills/functional skills

Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding

To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£30,583 – £46,263), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:

  • DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • Certificate in Education
  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
  • DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – there is eligibility for vocational subjects

If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£25,611 – £28,817).

Not Accepted as Stand Alone Qualifications:

  • PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • CTLLS (Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)
