Overview

Sandwell College is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Porters to join our vibrant catering team on a part-time, permanent basis. This term time only role offers 37 weeks of work each year, with consistent hours from 8:30am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday. It\\\’s a great opportunity to become part of a supportive team and play an important role in keeping our busy kitchens running efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
  • Ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment are kept clean and orderly.
  • Assist with the unloading and proper storage of food deliveries.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables in accordance with college policies.
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as required.
  • Adherence to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen is essential.
