Description
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for two Admissions Support Officers to join our team at the brand-new Cradley Heath Skills Campus, part of the Sandwell College Group. This campus represents a major investment in the future of local skills and education, helping learners of all ages develop the expertise and confidence to succeed in the modern workforce.
The Admissions Support Officer will play a key part in delivering an efficient, friendly and professional admissions service – guiding applicants through the process from enquiry to enrolment, and helping to ensure every potential student receives a positive and welcoming experience.
This is a permanent opportunity, with 2 positions available – one full-time and one term-time only, working 38 weeks per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to potential learners, staff and visitors.
- Process applications efficiently and accurately, ensuring data is entered and maintained to a high standard.
- Liaise with curriculum teams to organise interviews and support applicants throughout their journey.
- Support key College events including open days, interviews and enrolment.
- Assist with general administrative tasks including post handling, reception duties, and switchboard cover.
- Handle financial transactions in line with College procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all College policies, including Health and Safety and Data Protection.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Previous experience in an administrative or reception-based role (preferably in education or customer service).
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work well as part of a busy team and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A positive attitude, flexibility, and attention to detail.
