We are currently seeking a Shift Mechanical Fitter to join our Engineering team.
About You
You should have demonstrable experience in mechanical engineering and hold a trade apprenticeship with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering. The main focus of this role will be to perform mechanical work on site equipment. Training will be provided. Experience with COMPEX and a good level of IT literacy would be advantageous.
This role is based at our manufacturing site in Neath and operates on a 3-shift pattern, 5 days per week, including mornings, afternoons, and nights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all required mechanical work.
- Comply with all Standard Working Practices (SWPs) and permits to work where applicable.
- Monitor Engineering Requests (ERs) and execute appropriate tasks.
- Conduct plant checks as defined.
- Participate in planned shutdowns when necessary.
- Be available to attend the work site outside normal hours to address safety, security, or equipment breakdown issues.
- Participate in the Engineering call-out system.
- Follow company and engineering quality procedures.
