Weβre now looking for a CNC Machinist to join our Controlled Expansion Alloys Group.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our team. You will have experience of working with CNC vertical milling machines, experience with fine tolerance and small batch precision work, and experience of 4th axis. The ability to use a range of measuring equipment, micrometers, vernier gauges, pin gauges and of working in a ISO9001 environment will be a great advantage. Experience in Mastercam and OneCNC programming with Mazak and Mazatrol would also be desirable.
This role is based at our manufacturing site in Neath and is on a 3-shift working pattern, 5 days per week, mornings, afternoons and nights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and Operating CNC machines (Milling or Turning) to the standard set and run times.
- Interpret drawings and use initiative in deciding tooling selection and the method of manufacture.
- Monitor the quality of components using a wide range of equipment including CMM inspection and complete departmental quality documentation.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools.
- Know how to use holding, clamping and fixture devices. Whilst maintaining complete accuracy to the drawings and tolerances.
- Experience in CNC Programming
- Knowledge of correct tools for the application.
- Ensuring all machines are running safely and abiding by good health and safety practice.
- Ensuring that the correct material is selected per the work order record and that it is identified correctly.
- To perform daily routine maintenance as required on equipment and report any issues.
- To work in a safe manner and to ensure that equipment is in a safe condition to operate.
