Dalton Court Care Home

Salary: £23.65 per hour

Contracted hours: 0 – Bank / Flex

Shift patterns: Day and night shifts (8am–8pm / 8pm–8am)

Dalton Court, our welcoming 60‑bed home in the lovely town of Cockermouth, provides high‑quality Nursing, Dementia and Palliative care in a warm, homely environment. We are seeking skilled Bank Nurses to join our clinical team, supporting residents across a variety of day and night shifts. Responsibilities

  • Delivering high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Supporting residents to feel safe, comfortable and reassured throughout both day and night routines.
  • Administering medication and carrying out clinical monitoring with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Working closely with the wider care team to maintain seamless continuity of care.
  • Promoting emotional wellbeing for residents and their families.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues as needed.

Qualifications

  • Registered General Nurses (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN)
  • Compassionate, enthusiastic individuals committed to exceptional care
  • Experience in nursing home care (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team ethos
  • Flexibility to pick up a mix of day and night shifts, including weekends if required

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘STREAM’. Advertised pay rate effective from 1st April 2026.
