We are looking to recruit a Sixth Form Learning Mentor to join the school's outstanding Sixth Form team. This is a key role in the Sixth Form team mentoring sixth form students to ensure they make outstanding progress in their academic studies.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor performance and attendance of students and develop positive attitudes to learning.
- Inspire and motivate students, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be passionate about supporting young people through this crucial stage of their education and development.
- Join a team with two other Learning Mentors and a wider Sixth Form team.

Our Sixth Form achieved an 'Outstanding' judgement from Ofsted in February 2024. 'Pupils aspire to join the impressive sixth form at the school. Students reach levels of scholarship found in university studies and achieve exceptional outcomes' - Ofsted 2024.

About the Trust:
Sandringham School is part of the Ambition Education Trust (AET). The Ambition Education Trust (AET) consists of ten schools in Hertfordshire; three primary, one nursery and infants', one juniors and five secondary. Our Trust launched in September 2024 following the amalgamation of two established Multi Academy Trusts (MATs), Alban Academies Trust and ATLAS Multi Academy Trust. As a member of the AET, we are able to maximise opportunities for rewarding careers and opportunities for personal and professional development throughout our wider organisation. Sandringham School also leads the Alban Teaching School Hub.
Role Details:
4 days (up to 28 hours per week), term time only (38 weeks)
Salary: H5 pro rata, FTE annual salary £27,982 - £30,268
Actual salary: £17,706 - £19,153 (based on 28 hours per week)
Start date: April 2026
